I decided I wanted to combine them into one piece. Having a clear plan before I started was very important so my book carving would come together as one piece once I was finished. Challenges I faced was the tedious amount of work it took to carve out very intricate pieces. I overcame them by working slow and using a steady hand. I created a jungle scene with a giraffe, elephant, and a palm tree. I love how my project turned out because it is simple, yet interesting at the same time.</span></em></div>
