What's the point

1. What where some of your solutions to What’s the Point?
Cliffs, rollercoasters, pencils.

2. Which solution did you chose and why?
I chose a cliff because it came out the best looking out of all the ideas I chose to draw.

3. How did you show contrast in your work?
I shaded with a charcoal pencil and used a blending tool to make it into one smooth transition.

4. What medium did you decide to use? Why did you choose this medium over the others?
I chose charcoal pencil and regular pencil to create contrast, and show the dark parts of the picture.

5. What techniques did you use to create this work?
Shading with a light pencil and a charcoal pencil.

We encourage risk taking in art. Risk taking can be as simple as trying a new technique or learning about a new medium to as complex as trying something totally new.

6. Did you take any risks with this project?
I think I took a risk because of the shading in the mountain. It was very hard to get an even transition yet still keeping the colors dark.

7. What message are you conveying? How are you convey this message through the use of your images or use of art elements or principles?
I want to convey the calm and peacefulness of being alone and in a beautiful place.
